Our first play party on October 6th was a success, especially for a rainy night on a holiday weekend. We gained 22 new voting members and had a good time, with heavy use of both the dungeon play equipment and the red light room. Thanks and congratulations to all of the executive board and volunteers who made it possible.
Our next confirmed event is our Special General Meeting. This is when our voting membership will decide on our name, our bylaws and other issues. Time: 7:30PM - 9:30PM, November 7th, 2007 Location: 909 Mainland and Smithe, downtown Vancouver. Meeting room, wheelchair accessible. Voting memberships will be on sale at the door.
Our membership (which is not the same as a voting membership) costs $30, good for one year from purchase. $10 discount for students with valid ID, seniors (65 and older) and people with demonstrated financial hardship. This entitles members to reduced admission, free drink tickets, members-only events and more.
We’re working on a venue for a party in November, and hope to begin a regular monthly party series soon. This would be in addition to members-only events, social gatherings, conferences, and more.
We’re also looking for more volunteers, which is a good way to meet people and get in to the event for free.

It was public, but there was a feeling of privacy…very sexy.
