Post-Taboo wrap

At this year’s Taboo sex trade show, we were set up in the Sin City Dungeon at the far end of the hall. We had our new volunteer t-shirts (thank you BJ) and our brochures and handbills (thank you Rosina), plus the video and sound from Sin City to draw people in, not to mention the people playing on the equipment.

And the people came to see us. Thousands of them. We gave out nearly 1000 brochures and who knows how many Feb. 1st workshop and party cards. We answered questions on everything from the difference between MVK and Sin City to where to buy corsets to “This is about pain, isn’t it?” People fondled our whips and cuffs.

Although perhaps not MVK’s full debut in all its glory, we definitely got the word out to a lot of new people and also to some people I knew in the Vancouver scene from ages ago whom I haven’t seen lately for various reasons. Hopefully, we’ll get a big surge in attendance on February 1st.

Thanks to all of our excellent and hard working volunteers. We couldn’t have done it without you guys.
